Ed Sheeran, Kendrick Lamar top Billboard awards British singer, Ed Sheeran; and first winner of Pulitzer Prize for Music, Kendrick Lamar, were the biggest winners of the 2018 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday. Sheeran triumphed in some of the most prestigious categories, including top artist and top male artist; while Lamar won three rap award categories – rap artist, male rap artist, and rap album – plus two song streaming awards after the huge success of his single,  Humble . Other winners include: Taylor Swift — top female artist, and top-selling album for  Reputation . The show was hosted by Kelly Clarkson. Nigeria’s retired soldiers getting inadequate support, says Olonisakin The Chief of Defence Staff, Gen Abayomi Olonisakin, has said many ex-military men in the country grappled daily with challenges of civil life, inadequate support, and encouragement. Olonisakin stated this in Abuja during a workshop with military veterans and retired military men, saying the Federal Government had sent experts to Egypt and United Kingdom to adopt their pattern of veterans’ welfare for Nigeria’s military retirees. The three-day workshop, which brought together over 100 military veterans across the country, was on the unification of veterans’ association in Nigeria. The CDS said the administration of Nigeria’s military retirees was not yet up to international best practices.
